Abstract

Mahakavi Kalidas was one of the greatest poets of Sanskrit literature. His creations are compared to the best creations in the world. All the problems of life have been described to us in the works of Kalidas. His works throw light on every aspect of human life. In the works of Kalidas, we get an illustration of each philosophy. Kalidas has depicted all the practices prevalent in society while depicting social philosophy in his epics. Through this, we come to know the ultimate values of social relations. Through the philosophy of religion, the poet reveals the importance of religion in society. Through the philosophy of love and beauty, the poet has given a very interesting description of love and beauty. Through women's philosophy, the poet has shown the purity of women and their importance in society. Through Purusharth Darshan, Kalidas has emphasized doing Purusharth. Through nature philosophy, the poet has played the utility of nature in human life. Thus we see that the great poet Kalidas has described all the philosophies affecting human life in his epics.
