Content Analysis of Class 12 Economics Textbook

Abstract

The present research study is related to the content analysis of Higher Secondary level economics textbook of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. The main objective of the present research is to analyze the content of class 12 economics textbook and study the perception of economics teachers and class 12 economics students towards class 12 economics textbook. For the content analysis of class 12 economics textbook, the content analysis forms were prepared on the following 6 grounds- 1- Description of the content in the text book, 2-Comprehension of the subject matter in the text-book, 3-Citation related to the content in the text-book, 4- About the content in the text-book In terms of evaluation, 5-with reference to the external nature of the textbook and 6-with reference to the NCF of the text-book. (vi) in accordance with the provisions of 2005. As a research tool for the present research study, self-made interview schedule and self-made questionnaire were used to study the perception of economics students studying in class 12 to study the perception of economics teachers towards class 12 economics textbook. Content analysis and survey method was used for the present research study. On the basis of the present research study, it can be said in conclusion that due to the inherent shortcomings in the economics textbooks of class 12, there is a need for improvement in the textbook. So that the economics textbook can be made completely effective, quality and useful.
